Hiroki Maruyama

Born in 1967. Graduated Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan. Maruyama’s work has been exhibited in London, France, Switzerland, Croatia, China & Taiwan as well as in regular group exhibition and solo exhibition in Australia.

Maruyama say “Through the depiction of women, children and flowers I want to explore the mysterious and spiritual world beyond my subjects.”  

Maruyama works under two names, using each person to create completely different works since 1998. Under the name pen name-Kenji, he creates cute characters. Under his real name, Hiroki Maruyama, he creates psychological expressionist paintings.
